Description
Here is a medium difficulty arrangement of Lee Morgan’s “Ceora,” arranged for large jazz ensemble. The melody is featured in the bass trombone and baritone saxophone. With many unison lines, this is a great chart for the developing jazz band to work on balance, ensemble phrasing, and blend!
Instrumentation:
- 8 brass (4 trumpet, 3 tenor trombone, 1 bass trombone)
- 5 saxophones (2 alto, 2 tenor, 1 baritone)
- Rhythm section (guitar, piano, bass, drum set)

- Trumpet 1 to concert Ab5
- Trombone 1 to Ab4
Solos:
- Chord changes in all parts
- Tenor Sax 1 has a send-off, but otherwise anyone can solo.
