Description
From Snarky Puppy’s 2015 album Sylva, here is “Atchafalaya”
This is a lively arrangement featuring the trombone section, which makes a great closer to any set! Solos are for Trombone and Guitar (Tenor Sax 1 alternate), but the first solo section can easily be adapted for anyone in the ensemble to play. While Snarky Puppy has the trombones playing up the octave, the chart works great with the trombones down in the staff as well. I’ve heard middle school, high school, community ensembles, and collegiate big bands all play this tune effectively!
